A chiropractic physician may also provide a medically prescribed diet (a diet in which nutrient levels need to be monitored, altered, or both, for an individual whose health is impaired by disease, injury or surgery), for any individuals other than residents of nursing homes.

Recent legislation signed by President Trump significantly dampened the 2021 Medicare Part B premium increase that would have occurred, given the estimated growth in Medicare spending next year. The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $148.50 in 2021, an increase of $3.90 from $144.60 in 2020. CMS also announced that the annual deductible for Medicare Part B beneficiaries is increasing.

All Medical Practice Act licenses, including chiropractic, medical and osteopathic licenses, run on the same 3-year cycle. 2017 and each third year thereafter is a renewal year during which licenses expire on July 31. For most doctors who renewed on time during previous renewal cycles and who complete their continuing medical education prior to July 31 of the current cycle, renewal will be a routine process.
