The ICS is pleased to report that the legislature voted to override Governor Rauner’s veto of the workers’ compensation legislation (SB 904) regarding medical payments and interest. We understand that many of our chiropractic physicians have waited for long overdue medicalpayments and never received the interest owed.
Over the summer, Governor Rauner vetoed SB 904 (Hastings/Hoffman), which would have provided a way to enforce interest on late payments from insurance companies to medical providers under the workers’ compensation system.
