The US Department of Transportation (DOT) through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issued final rules late last month that laid out the requirements for health care providers to become certified Medical Examiners and issue medical certificates for commercial motor vehicle drivers. The rule was finalized after many years of work and development, and as expected, Chiropractic Physicians are included in the list of health care providers that are qualified to become Medical Examiners.
