The Illinois Chiropractic Society and the American Chiropractic Association have been advocating for some time now for the passage of H.R. 2654 in the U.S. Congress, the Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act. Now, Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Kevin Cramer (R-ND) are preparing to introduce a companion bill to H.R. 2654 in the Senate. A Senate companion, identical to the House version, is a vital step in passing this legislation and creating better access to Medicare-covered services allowed under a chiropractor’s state licensure.
