May a D.C. certify that an applicant for a non-commercial pilot’s license is medically able to safely operate an airplane? Recently, I was asked to do a webinar for the ACA (American Chiropractic Association) on the UE (upper extremity). Upper extremity injuries and the throwing athlete are topics about which I’m well versed and passionate. It’s an area that I’m happy to humbly share what I know and admit what I don’t know. All Medical Practice Act licenses, including chiropractic, medical and osteopathic licenses, run on the same 3-year cycle. 2017 and each third year thereafter is a renewal year during which licenses expire on July 31. For most doctors who renewed on time during previous renewal cycles and who complete their continuing medical education prior to July 31 of the current cycle, renewal will be a routine process.
