Understandably, no one is happy to hear that he or she is the subject of a license investigation by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). However, as with any other worrisome situation, lack of knowledge about the process causes much of the trauma. There can be long blocks of time during which the licensee hears nothing, which in itself is very unnerving.
