Recent legislation signed by President Trump significantly dampened the 2021 Medicare Part B premium increase that would have occurred, given the estimated growth in Medicare spending next year. The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $148.50 in 2021, an increase of $3.90 from $144.60 in 2020. CMS also announced that the annual deductible for Medicare Part B beneficiaries is increasing.

Both Cook County and the City of Chicago have passed ordinances that require employers to provide employees with a certain amount of paid sick leave. In Cook County, the ordinance is called the Cook County Earned Sick Leave Ordinance. In the City of Chicago, the ordinance is called the City of Chicago Paid Sick Leave Ordinance. Medicare Revalidation Announcement

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) just announced that they are moving forward with the revalidation requirements established in Section 6401 (a) of the Affordable Care Act. After completing their initial round of revalidations, CMS is now resuming regular revalidation cycles in accordance with 42 CFR §424.515. A brief review of the data indicates that only 2,804 chiropractic physicians in Illinois are enrolled in Medicare.
