We’re incredibly excited to announce a speaker lineup change for the 2023 ICS Chicagoland fall convention. The convention is coming up on October 13 through October 15. And you can get the full lineup including that link down below. But here’s the change. We’re actually adding Dr. Mike Powell. And if you don’t remember Dr. Powell was the one who presented previously our state-mandated Alzheimer’s and dementia training that we held a couple of years ago and that many of you have taken over the course of the last couple of years.
Dr. Powell is a diplomat in chiropractic neurology. And he is going to be presenting two incredible courses, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, so one on the 14th of October and one on the 15th of October. The first one on Saturday is “Brain-Based Chiropractic Care” which is going to cover cognition, pain, biomechanics, balance, and so much more that you can actually help your patients with, he’s going to give you the tools that you can use in your practice and implement right away. Then on Sunday, he’s going to follow that up with “Successful Concussion Care.” Dr. Powell is going to come in he’s going to talk about how the research indicates that most people who suffer a concussion do not fully recover within six months. Many times these patients may be presenting in your practice, and he is going to walk away and give you an understanding of the mechanisms, the clinical assessments, and the treatment strategies that you can employ in your practice to help those patients that desperately need your help.
