Marc:
So I’m up here in Alsip, Illinois with Dr Frank Vaught checking out his office, and we’re having a great conversation. But I just wanted to ask you, Doc, why? Why? Why are you part of the ICS? We love that you’re part of the ICS, but why? Why are you, Why have you chosen to be a part of the ICS?

Dr. Vaught:
Well, that’s broad. There’s so many different reasons why being a part of an organization that supports my direct needs, not only my needs, but even my staff. You know, I looked at some of the things and the benefits that they have just off the website, and being a part, it’s crazy. But one of the big things is, is being a part of a profession where there’s so many different types of people. This organization, actually seems to have a cohesion. It brings people together. Being a chiropractor sometimes is like being on an island. You’re out there, you’re responsible for your team, you’re responsible for your family, your responsible for your your practice members, all these responsibilities. But what the ICS does is it, uh, it takes some of that responsibility off us, and they become responsible for us. It’s like having a support system, someone there that you can depend on, that you can trust and you know that’s going to help you out. And the ICS is not just about chiropractors, but they’re about serving people. Me being a part of the ICS, I was, you know, privileged to be on a task force that helps to support chiropractic, getting to underserved communities through, you know, Medicare and Medicaid, and going and lobbying, and I know I wouldn’t have had those, those experiences if I, if I wouldn’t have went there and even been asked or selected to kind of go through that. So there’s a barrage of things that it, that it does, but for me, for myself, personally, I love the aspect of how the ICS is based upon serving, serving doctors, serving people, and making it better, a better community for that, because the happier, the better the doctor is, the easier it’s going to be to deliver, to share, to give, and the ICS makes that possible.

Marc:
Cool. Well, again, we talked before. I mean, we’re friends. Okay. Now, you touched on some other stuff earlier. You talked about fellowship. You talked about the camaraderie, the networking and stuff like that. So talk to us. Just a little bit about that. Tell me a little bit about it.

Dr. Vaught:
Well, there’s, there’s two large seminars that they have every year and the doctors from not just Illinois, but even all around, some around the country come in, they have great speakers that give tremendous and most up to dated information. And if it wasn’t for the ICS on some of the things, Marc, man, I tell you what, like the changes that happen, that are happening with insurance so rapidly. I mean, everything is set there, and then even within, within our state, though, within our organization, you know, as far as with the need of the chiropractor is, you know, they create different things in order to help, in order to help us to grow with it, and even making sure that we’re thriving with it in a way that we’re we’re able to continue to move. But the big thing is, is how we’re able to support, how we’re able to to continue to give, and also to how we’re able to constantly pull new doctors in, to bring a stronger breed of chiropractors out there, because the communities need us, Marc, they need us, but chiropractors need support. We gotta have support. And so I like that the ICS allows that to happen, and then in an environment, you know, we’re having our seminars, and we’re doing our thing, it’s, it’s such a laid back, relaxed environment, you know, but it’s the information, I mean, it’s so beneficial, but they make it in a way where it’s palatable and you can take it away and readily use it, you Know, to actually help your practice, to support you and to start working on it.

Marc:
Well, just know this, we appreciate you. We appreciate what you do for the ICS, what you do for your community. In fact, it’s been great. I’ve had an opportunity to watch your patients come in their excited, and I think the word you love to use is just the amount of love that you got in your practice. And it’s great to be able to see that. And so thanks for sharing that with me today.

Dr. Vaught:
I thank you for being a part of the ICS. I see a lot of leadership and a lot of different aspects, and I see how you pour your heart into it and and everybody. So you know, it’s leadership is important to me. It truly rolls down here, Marc. So I appreciate your contribution. Oh, thank you.

Marc:
Thank you, Doc, I appreciate it.
