Hello everybody, this is Dr Ron Farabaugh, and I am so excited to be with you at the Illinois Chiropractic Society convention a couple of weeks from now. I can’t wait to tell you all the things that are cool things happening chiropractic. Number one, I’ve been traveling around the country explaining the cost-effectiveness of chiropractic. A new paper that was produced just this year, a systematic review showing that when you go to a chiropractor, costs in the system go way down, related to opioids, advanced imaging, surgeries, hospitals, in-hospital stays, emergency room use things like that. The second thing it found was that’s really important, who you go to first matters. I can’t wait to share the contents of that paper and how you can use that to educate the decision-makers in your state, and also how you can use it in your office.
The second lecture, the second half of this lecture, is value-based modeling. What the heck does that mean? I’m going to give you a glimpse behind the curtain of an insurance company and help you understand exactly what insurance is looking for. So if you want to avoid an audit, if you want to help reduce the friction between you and the insurance industry and really produce better outcomes for your patients, you want to be at this lecture.
