National Representation

Illinois chiropractic physicians are shaping the profession nationwide. From leadership in Chiro Congress and Chiropractic Future to advocacy in Washington, DC, Illinois leaders are advancing policy, research, and fair reimbursement for chiropractic.

Transcript:

We don’t talk about the national influence that Illinois has very often. In fact, if you’re not aware, Dr. Julie Bird, who practices down in Carbondale, also a Past President of the Illinois chiropractic society, serves on the board for Chiro Congress, which is a group that represents chiropractic state associations across the country. Dr. Vijay Patel also serves on the board for Chiropractic Future, which is really a strategic plan to advance the chiropractic profession in a number of different areas, government affairs and reimbursement, and research and data and technology, which gets overlooked. As you all know that I say a lot. I also have happened to be able to serve on that particular group’s board, as well as their reimbursement work group chair.

This week, I am actually in Washington, DC, representing the chiropractic profession and discussing with key groups, key influential areas, both in Congress and also in regulatory agencies, to ensure that we’re advancing chiropractic and we’re finding the best ways to move us forward. This is something that we were very diligent about. It’s something that we take time to ensure that we do on your behalf, and that’s what we’re here this week for. This is what we do, and we’ll catch you next week.
