Help Re-Elect a Chiropractic Physician to the Illinois Legislature

We are asking you to consider contributing to a very special fundraising event for the Illinois Chiropractic Society Political Action Committee (ICS PAC). State Representative Dr. Kevin Schmidt, a practicing chiropractic physician, is in a very tough re-election campaign. The importance of having one of our colleagues as a sitting member of the Illinois Legislature cannot be emphasized enough. Rep. Schmidt is a key supporter of the chiropractic community in the Capitol.

Rep. Schmidt, from Millstadt in the metro St. Louis area, is holding a “Baseball Night Out” fundraiser event on Thursday, August 15th, at the Gateway Grizzlies ballpark in Sauget, Illinois. It promises to be a fun time if you can attend, but even if you can’t, we ask that you make a contribution to his campaign fund. Any amount is appreciated, but we suggest increments of $100, $50, or $25 dollars.

Contributions can be made here  (we will transfer all funds donated to this project to Rep. Schmidt), or send contributions directly to: Schmidt for Illinois, 225 E. Washington Street, Millstadt, IL, 62260. If you send contributions directly to him, please let us know so we can provide him with a list of his colleagues who contributed.

The ICS PAC is the political voice of the Illinois Chiropractic Society. The PAC, by law, is a separate entity from the ICS, and ICS funds are not used to fund the PAC. The political action committee is solely funded by ICS members and other donors, and the support from every ICS member is needed to maintain our strong voice. The ICS PAC is an integral part of the overall advocacy strategy of our organization. Electing legislators who understand and support the importance of chiropractic services is essential, and the ICS PAC is the vehicle for that action. Simply stated, we use the PAC to donate to campaigns of state leaders who support our mission.

Thank you for your support in this critical advocacy mission.

A copy of our report filed with the State Board of Elections is (or will be) available on the Board’s official website (www.elections.il.gov) or for purchase from the State Board of Elections, Springfield, Illinois. Contributions to the ICS-PAC are not deductible for federal or state income tax purposes.
