Gov. Quinn Endorses Parity Among Chiropractic and Allopathic Physicians!

Congratulations! The Chiropractic profession took yet another step forward in the legislative arena as Governor Pat Quinn endorsed legislation that asserts the parity that exists in Illinois between allopathic and chiropractic physicians. House Bill 68, now Public Act 96-0353, grants chiropractic physicians the same access to patients in assisted living facilities as was previously granted exclusively to M.D.s and D.O.s!

This public act approved by Governor Quinn amended the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act to establish that any physician, including chiropractic physicians, may provide services within the scope of his or her license to residents of an Assisted Living facility without being additionally licensed under the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act.
