Dr. Carlos Boileve Named 2025 Chiropractic Physician of the Year

Dr. Boileve has been a dedicated member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society for more than 40 years and has served the chiropractic profession through his clinical excellence, educational leadership, and commitment to expanding access to care. His practice, Joint & Spine Rehabilitation of Northern Illinois, has become a model for patient-centered care, combining deep technical expertise with compassion and integrity.

Throughout his career, Dr. Boileve has helped advance the chiropractic profession through education, outreach, and mentorship. He has taught and mentored countless physicians, generously sharing his expertise in personal injury, workers’ compensation, compliance, and documentation. His leadership and teaching have strengthened practices across Illinois and beyond, ensuring that patients receive care grounded in both science and compassion.
Dr. Boileve’s impact extends far beyond the clinic. He has been a tireless advocate for underserved populations, especially within the Hispanic community, working to make chiropractic care more accessible and inclusive. Colleagues describe him as a bridge-builder, someone who not only delivers care but also opens doors for others to do the same.
His service to the profession includes decades of service to the Illinois Chiropractic Society, where he has held multiple leadership positions. Dr. Boileve was instrumental in bringing technology to the organization by helping to develop the Society’s first website in the early 2000s. In recent years, he was appointed by Governor JB Pritzker and confirmed by the Illinois Senate to serve on the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission Medical Fee Advisory Board, reflecting the respect and trust he has earned across the healthcare community.
