I have the privilege of being on the campus of Palmer Chiropractic College up in Davenport this evening to talk to students about the importance of state associations. It was a great reminder, even for me, being a part of the state association and being part of the staff who represents and supports our chiropractic physicians in Illinois, and so I get the opportunity to even remind myself about all the different things that state associations do and that the Illinois chiropractic society does for our doctors in Illinois. It really does stem around three key factors. It’s information, it’s education, and it’s advocacy. Many of you know a lot of the things that we do in those areas, but what gets missed a lot is how much primary source information we have available to our members.

We want to make sure that you’re equipped with the information you need to be able to effectively run your practice. We want to make sure that you have the information you need to be compliant across many different areas. We even provide you information that is clinical based that has information about resourcing, about research, sorry. We’re even going to be adding more research information for you in 2025. We’re going to be adding ways for you to be able to tap into our vast knowledge base online 24 hours a day. We want you to be equipped with the best information when you need it.

If you’re not aware, our education is super critical, and what we’re able to do is for our members, we provide you all of our distance learning, our webinars, and our on-demand education we provide to our members at no additional cost. Additionally, our advocacy, and many times, this goes unsung, and if you’re not aware, we’re advocating for you regularly. There were many different bills that would have negatively impacted chiropractic that we were able to correct before they ever actually passed.

And so each of these key components and key areas are the areas that we focus on, and we want to make sure that we take care of you, the chiropractic physician in Illinois. Take a few minutes if you’re not a member, just jump out. Go to ilchiro.org/join, and become a part of an organization that is there for you, that supports you, that travels to the schools and travels across the country to make sure that we’re networking and are able to represent you in the best ways. In fact, in 2024 we realize tonight, as the Illinois Chiropractic Society, we’ve been on the campuses of Palmer, we’ve been on the campus of Logan. We have been at National many different times, and we’ve even been at Parker down in Dallas, and each of those, we’re representing Illinois, and we’re representing the Illinois Chiropractic Society to be better advocates, educators, and informers of the profession in Illinois. Look forward to seeing you a part of our group.
