Laying the Groundwork for Chiropractic Health Care Month (October 2009)
In the center of your August 2009 Journal is a copy of a proclamation signed by Governor Quinn, declaring October 2009 Chiropractic Health Care Month in Illinois. The ICS and the state of Illinois are uniting with other states around the country, along with the American Chiropractic Association to raise awareness about chiropractic care. We hope you will join us, as we move towards October, to promote the efforts of chiropractic physicians as you seek to improve the health and quality of life of your patients.
In order for you to show support and raise awareness for the effort of Chiropractic Health Care Month, we encourage you to post this proclamation in your office. Together we want to promote the benefits of chiropractic care and its role in improving posture, development and providing good health. During the current debate over a national health care plan, it is as important as ever to spotlight significant contributions that chiropractic physicians and chiropractic care has provided and continues to provide to people on a daily basis.
In addition to the enclosed proclamation, The American Chiropractic Association has provided resources for you, your patients and prospective patients at their website www.acatoday.com – look for the National Chiropractic Month Press Kit.
