Illinois State Opioid Survey
As the ICS has previously reported, we are participating in a number of State of Illinois councils and committees that are actively working on solutions to the current opioid epidemic. To assist in solving the crisis, the Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (IDHS/DASA) and Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP, a consulting contractor working with DHS) have created a short, anonymous web survey that asks people about activities taking place in their communities that are addressing the opioid epidemic and what they think the State needs to do to solve it.
As a committee participant, the ICS has been solicited to distribute the survey to: “families, providers, law enforcement, first responders, agency administrators, educators, people in recovery, etc.” To assist DASA and AHP, the ICS is sharing this message with our doctor providers. DASA has also encouraged us to share its message with colleagues, other groups/coalitions of which you may be a member, friends, and family. DASA and AHP have welcomed and encouraged everyone to fill out a survey.
