AETNA ASH ALERT
Summarize this article with Paxson

Many ICS members received a letter, dated September 25, 2014, from Aetna indicating that Aetna will be returning to a direct agreement program with chiropractic providers as of January 1, 2015.  Specifically, the letter says,

“On December 31, 2014, your agreement with us through American Specialty Health group (ASH group) will end.   On January 1, 2015, your direct agreement with us will apply.  It will apply to all chiropractic services you provide to your patients with Aetna benefit plans.”

Although we have no details at this time, it appears as though ASH will no longer act as intermediary for Aetna as of January 1, 2015.  We will continue to monitor this change, and inform ICS Members of the particulars as soon as we are provided with additional information.
