2024 ICS Legislator of the Year: Dr. Kevin Schmidt

Dr. Kevin Schmidt, a chiropractic physician and Illinois state representative, is honored as Legislator of the Year by the Illinois Chiropractic Society for advocating fair insurance laws and supporting chiropractic practices.

Hi. I’m Dr Kevin Schmidt, a practicing chiropractic physician and a state representative in the Illinois, 114th legislative district in southwestern Illinois. I have been serving communities in the St Louis Metro East area as a chiropractic physician for the past 18 years, and I am the owner and operator of Schmidt Chiropractic. I opened my first location in Millstadt in October 2006, and my second office in Freeburg in September 2015. Like all of you, I’m proud of my work, offering natural health care to my community, and I’m committed to our profession. I just want to thank you for the honor of being named Legislator of the Year of the Illinois Chiropractic Society. Nothing could make me prouder than having this recognition given to me by my peers and colleagues across the state. I will continue to work hard in the capital for the people of Illinois and for all of you in the furtherment of our profession. I understand the hurdles that you face in the practices, whether it be in parity in medical professions, fair and consistent insurance laws, fighting for an improvement more efficient medical licensing system in Illinois our adverse legislation, and our administrative rules that affect the operation of your small business. I will continue to fight for you in the capital to ensure the best possible climate for you and your practice to thrive. And as always, led straighten up Illinois. Thank you.
