Obituaries: Dr. James D. Abele

In Loving Memory of Dr. James D. Abele
Dr. James D Abele, beloved Father, Brother, and Friend, 68, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024, at his home in Rolling Meadows. Beloved son of the late Helen Abele nee Hauser and Robert Abele. He touched the lives of many with his humor, compassion, and his ability to be of service to his patients.

Dr. James D. Abele graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic and pursued a career in Chiropractic Care. He opened Abele Chiropractic in 1988 and excelled in serving the community for almost 40 years. His passion was providing relief to his patients. He will be remembered for his love of Golf, Hunting, and Fishing as well. Besides his love for the outdoors, he was an amazing cook. He enjoyed making up his own recipes and sharing with people he cared for. He was also incredibly mechanically inclined. He could build almost anything. From fabricating a go-cart to rebuilding an antique automobile. Additionally, he tackled any home project with ease never needing to hire any sort of contractor. You could also catch Jim in the bleachers, quite frequently with a bag of pistachios, watching his favorite basketball players (his grandchildren).

Dr. Abele is survived by his daughter Renee (Randal), grandchildren Randal, Nevada, and Russell, and Brothers and Sisters Robert Abele; Susan Abele (Dan Greiner); Nancy Larson Thurman; Kathleen De Sando (Dennis); Carol Schiavone (William); Amy Abele (late Dan Sorrisso); John Abele; and Peter Abele (Mary). He was predeceased by his older brother Thomas Abele and nephew Allen Abele, and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews and bonus family Maddie and Jeanie.
