Medicare Modernization… Let’s Get Back To Work
In Washington, DC, momentum is building. Illinois chiropractors must act now—contact Congress and push Medicare modernization forward. We’ve had our pause; now it’s time to get back to work.
H.R. 539 – Medicare Modernization For Chiropractic
S.106 – Medicare Coverage Modernization Act
Transcript:
I’m in Washington, DC this week, attending a series of meetings on behalf of chiropractic and on behalf of the Illinois chiropractic society and all of our chiropractic physicians in Illinois. There is a lot going on right now, and we know that you get tired of us talking about Medicare and Medicare Modernization, but I want to be super clear with some things. First of all, I just drove past the World War Two monument, and we visited this a few years ago. And when we talked to the marshals that were there, and we talked to the people in the Rangers about, hey, what are some things that we need to know about this, they designed it really specifically with a pool out front that allows people to sit down, take off their shoes and rest their feet in the pool and kind of get a refreshing.
Well, we’ve just had that. Now we need everybody to get back to work. We need everybody to really press forward and start to contact our legislators again. I’m standing right here, right outside of the Capitol right now, and what we need is for all of our doctors in Illinois to pick up the phone and contact their Congressperson and ask them to support Medicare Modernization. I’ll include links down below, Bill reference numbers the whole nine yards to both the House and the Senate bills. But now is the time we have got to get this taken care of. We have got to get Medicare changed and impacted for the profession; it’s way too important to sit on the sidelines. We’ve had our rest. Let’s get back to work. We’ll catch you next week.
