Compliance Focus: Employee Handbooks
Summarize this article with Paxson

All Illinois businesses, including chiropractic practices, are required to comply with a wide range of employment-related legal obligations.  The ICS strongly recommends maintaining a current employee handbook, even though it is not technically required by law, because having such a handbook is a good way to communicate policies and to defend employee claims.

This month, ICS is highlighting important updates that must be made to ensure compliance with Illinois and federal laws. These requirements are tracked in Statusfi, the free compliance dashboard for ICS members at my.statusfidashboard.com. This includes items like including pregnancy non-discrimination protections, documenting AI video interview practices, and properly handling credit checks during hiring.
