Hello, everyone, I am so excited to be joining you. I’m creating this video for the wonderful 2022 Heartland symposium, which is a 12-hour CME experience by the wonderful Illinois Chiropractic Society. We are back in person on Saturday, April 9, and 10th, and it promises to be a fast-paced learning environment where every topic is geared towards every office every day, you’re going to have some putting a name, amazing dynamic speakers, including myself, and it’s going to be kind of a little bit different. So, Marc has decided that it’s going to be a little bit different format, where we’re gonna have a faster format that includes a new topic and a different speaker every two hours.

So let me introduce you to some of your amazing speakers. One of your speakers is Dr. Evan Gwilliam, a wonderful, dear friend of mine, we’ve been friends for years. He right now is with PayDC. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic as our Valedictorian and is a certified professional coder instructor, medical compliance specialist, Certified Professional Medical auditor, and many many, many things. The man has a million letters after his name. He provides expert witness testimony, medical record audits, and consulting and online courses for healthcare providers.

Next, we have the amazing Dr. Scott Mustermann, and if you look up amazing person that you should look up to Dr. Scott’s pictures there. He is the chief executive officer for Chiro Armor. He’s acknowledged and is amazing. If you have not heard Dr. Scott, he is fantastic. He is an expert on transforming the model of healthcare delivery with a community of promotion and advancement of the chiropractic profession. He is the founder and CEO of Best Practices Academy. If you have not seen their Medicare guidebook, oh my god, it’s amazing. He has served as a former two-term mayor and currently serves as the South Dakota State House of Representatives where he chairs the House and Health and Human Services Committee and led planning committee. He’s a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University. The man is a genius, and I cannot wait for you to hear Dr. Scott as well.

Then I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Dr. Chris Anderson. I’m a chiropractor in Wisconsin. Don’t you know, don’t hold against me too much, y’all. And you know, I come from the dairyland there. I’m a certified medical compliance specialist, a Certified Insurance consultant, and a certified chiropractic sports physician and I’m in the trenches with you guys practicing every day. I’m an author and a national speaker. And I’ve had the honor and privilege of speaking all over the country. I work very closely with our Wisconsin chiropractic associations. And I’m pretty high energy as you can tell, and I’m so excited to be joining this amazing group of speakers to talk to you gonna go through kind of the class schedule.

On Saturday, April 9, we’re going to start with Dr. Evan, on rock solid records. He’s going to show you what to do and what not to do and give you a base of what we need to have on our records. This is perfect, not just for us docs, but also for our team members, and our billers as well. Next, you’re going to be hanging out with me for the next few hours. I’m going to talk to you about being proactive about risk management, we’re going to talk about some real-life case studies. Risk Management sounds like a complicated topic, but at its core, it’s not. It’s ways how we’re going to identify and reduce potential risks in our clinics that could lead to our claim. So we’re gonna be proactive, and one of the best ways we can do that is to help prevent claims before they happen. So we’re going to learn from the experience of others through real-life case studies. What went right, what went wrong, and how to best handle the situations, by the way, that’s been sponsored by Chirohealth, USA. Dr. Evans, previous one has been sponsored by PayDC and Chirohealth, USA.

Next, we take lunch, and then we’re gonna come back from lunch and then you’re gonna hear that man, the myth, the legend, Dr. Scott mustering. He’s gonna be talking about updates and OSHA rules. So we’re gonna get up to date on OSHA requirements for standards for our for what we’re doing for COVID. He’s going to discuss the new requirements that OSHA has laid out, along with the OSHA and CDC providing the insights, and how we have to handle our teams and his thoughts. Then after that, you’re going to end the day on Saturday with Dr. Evan, talking about coding problems that result in claim and edit denials. So he’s gonna say, Hey, we’re gonna teach you exactly what to do in your notes. And he’s going to tell you the most common problems that happen in it so that you don’t have to worry about getting these denials, and understanding what you need to do to be compliant in that regard as well. And risk your practice-related anxiety is just going to fill your brain full of amazing stuff.

Then you’re going to go ahead and get some sleep. Because then on Sunday morning, we are going to wake up and we’re going to start working away at 8 am on Sunday morning with my class. Don’t be a hippo. Yeah, HIPAA master. I am so excited again, and we’re gonna kind of review HIPAA and it’s in its infancy, he’s talking about the different parts of it. And really kind of go from there. Just do a nice review of HIPAA. Pretty excited about that. And then you are going to end with the amazing Dr. Scott mustering on Sunday, talking about the No Surprises Act and how to have good faith estimates. It’s going to be a wonderful presentation, you’re going to have a fun-filled time. Can’t wait to join you. And thank you again so much. I can’t wait to see you guys. All for the symposium. Now. Register. Now. There are a few spots left and it’s going to be an amazing time.
