Stagnant reimbursement rates and rising practice costs are at the forefront of all of our minds. We now have an opportunity to make a difference and potentially impact the viewpoint surrounding reimbursement rates. In fact, it’s been about 18 years since a study has been done on office costs as it relates to chiropractic physicians. And the good news is that’s changing. In fact, that has changed. Many of you probably noticed a couple of months ago, when we released information that there is currently a request, a survey request that is out called the CPI survey, or the clinician practice information survey.

This isn’t just a survey requesting you to provide your opinion on issues. This is a survey that is critical for the profession for all of us to watch for and participate as soon as we get it. The survey actually is going to ask you a number of questions surrounding your practice expenses, your office hours, and other things. And this is important, again, I can’t reiterate enough, it’s important for us to complete the survey. Unfortunately, the number of surveys that are being released, and the sample size is incredibly small, against the number of chiropractic physicians practicing across the United States, only 300 of these surveys are being sent out. So it is incredibly important that if you get the survey, that you complete it.

Now we did get a question from one of our members, that during this week asking how do I know if I’ve received it? Well, you’ll get the survey. The survey is going to be coming from Mathematica, it will also reference the American Medical Association, and it will reference the American Chiropractic Association. So you could search Mathematica, you could search American Chiropractic Association, or even the American Medical Association, to look through your emails. For this survey. You can also search CPI or clinician practice information, I would ask you to take this extra moment and just make sure it is incredibly important that we finish this.

In this video, I’m going to link the article that provides a bit more information on this. If you have questions, please reach out to the Illinois Chiropractic Society and you can ask us, for some assistance. We will actually point you to some people who understand exactly what’s going on and can help you complete the survey appropriately based on the data that you have in your practice. Please don’t let this sit. Don’t wait complete it as quickly as possible. We need to increase our rate of participation for this. Check out the links that we have down below. Make sure you search your emails and we’ll catch you next week.
