Meet The Illinois Chiropractic Society Leadership Team

The Illinois Chiropractic Society is a member-driven organization that is led by a strong, volunteer Board of Directors elected by the ICS membership. Using their wealth of real-world experience in treating chiropractic patients, board members play an integral role in guiding the ICS staff through their governance policies.

The Board consists of four elective officers, the Immediate Past-President, and five directors-at-large. The elected officers are the President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, and Secretary. The nominating committee makes every effort to ensure that at least one member of the Board of Directors practices in each region which are divided as follows: Chicago Region, Northern Illinois Region, Central Illinois Region, and the Southern Illinois Region. One member of the Board is selected by the President and approved by the board to serve as Treasurer.

The officers serve one-year terms. Directors-at-large serve two-year terms. No officers or board members receive any compensation for serving, though reasonable travel expenses for attending meetings are reimbursed. To be eligible, board members must have been an ICS member for the two years preceding their election; officers must have served on the board for at least two years prior to their election. All details of the board election process can be found in the ICS Constitution.
