ICS Recognizes 2024 Chiropractor of the Year – Dr. Thomas Jensen
The Illinois Chiropractic Society is proud to announce that the 2024 recipient of the Chiropractic Physician of the Year is Dr. Thomas Jensen. The award was announced on October 5 at the ICS Chicagoland Fall Convention.
The plaque presented to Dr. Jensen reads in part: “Awarded by the Chiropractic Profession In Recognition of Outstanding Service – Wellness Champion, Civic Leader, Compassionate Healer, Lifelong Learner, Selfless Servant, Sterling Pioneer. These contributions exemplify the qualities the Society seeks in distinguishing you as CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN OF THE YEAR.”
Dr. Jensen completed his chiropractic education in 1986 at National College of Chiropractic, where he became a steadfast advocate for chiropractic care. He began his journey by practicing alongside his father for the first 24 years, his father being a chiropractic physician for over fifty years. He has continued in his father’s footsteps up to the present day, running Jensen Chiropractic in Sterling located in northwestern Illinois.
Dr. Jensen’s thirst for knowledge is insatiable, as demonstrated by his extensive postgraduate studies ranging from whiplash and brain injury traumatology, neuroplasticity, nutritional needs to promote brain health, internal disorders, diagnostic imaging, and vascular ultrasound interpretation.
His impact reaches far beyond the walls of his clinic. He has served on numerous boards and commissions, from community college trustee to football sideline physician, always driven by a desire to give back. A member of both the American Chiropractic Association and the Illinois Chiropractic Society for nearly four decades, his leadership and advocacy for our profession have been felt at the local, state, and national levels.
To celebrate excellence in the chiropractic profession, each year the ICS recognizes one individual whose dedication to chiropractic care, community service, and the advancement of our field is nothing short of extraordinary. In recognition of his incredible service to the chiropractic profession, his unwavering dedication to patient wellness, and his tireless involvement in community leadership, it is our honor and distinct pleasure to announce Dr. Thomas Jensen as the Illinois Chiropractic Society’s 2024 Chiropractic Physician of the Year.
