Reflections on the 2025 ICS Chicagoland Fall Convention & Expo

With an energized speaker lineup, robust exhibit hall, and powerful networking opportunities, this year’s event delivered what our profession needs most: knowledge, connection, and technological momentum.

Honoring Dr. Erika Mennerick: 2025 ICS President’s Award Recipient
One of the most memorable moments of the weekend was the presentation of the 2025 President’s Award to Dr. Erika Mennerick. This distinguished recognition, presented by ICS President Dr. Erin Strauch-Ducat, honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional service to the Society and the chiropractic profession in Illinois.
Dr. Mennerick has shown years of unwavering dedication to advancing chiropractic in Illinois. From her leadership in ICS governance to her mentorship of colleagues across the state, she has continually elevated our profession through service, insight, and advocacy. Her steady voice and commitment to ethics, education, and collaboration have made her a respected leader among peers and a valuable asset to ICS members statewide.
During the awards presentation, ICS leadership praised Dr. Mennerick’s tireless behind-the-scenes work and public-facing leadership. The audience responded with a well-earned standing ovation – a powerful reflection of the respect she has earned through decades of involvement.
Also recognized during the weekend: Dr. Carlos Boileve, who was named the 2025 Chiropractic Physician of the Year.

In addition to the awards, members gathered for the official ICS General Membership Meeting, where leadership shared key updates. Notably, ICS members unanimously passed the constitution and bylaws changes recommended by the ICS Board of Directors. These updates reflect the Society’s continued evolution and commitment to efficient, member-driven, modern governance.
