Obtaining a license as a chiropractic physician is demanding enough, but the choice of where and how to practice can seem almost as daunting. One of the first issues a physician must confront is whether to operate as a solo practitioner or within a multi-physician setting. The array of available legal arrangements is vast, as is the number of considerations that affect the decision.
Some observers believe that chiropractic physicians tend to prefer solo practice more than do other types of physicians. One could speculate about the reasons; perhaps there is something in the philosophy of chiropractic as "the road less traveled” that makes chiropractic physicians value independence more highly than others.
