100 Years of ICS: Golf, Gala & Growth Weekend

Greetings, Illinois Chiropractic Society members. My name is Craig Revermann. I’m currently serving as your Illinois Chiropractic Society president, and I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you all to celebrate 100 years of the Illinois Chiropractic Society with us. The weekend is July 31st, August 1st, and August 2nd. Just less coming up about three weeks away. We are going to have a great event that weekend. It will be held at Oakbrook Resort in Oakbrook, Illinois. We will be having Dr. Ryan Reider. If you’ve never heard him speak to motivate you about practice with Practice Growth Essentials, he’ll be speaking on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It will just be in the mornings. We want to actually spend the afternoon to get to network. We want to get to celebrate. That’s what the whole weekend is about. It’s about celebration. We’re going to have a golf outing, golfing on Friday. There will be a Chiro Connect job fair, which I believe is on Saturday. Okay, the gala will be Saturday evening, which is a Roaring 20s theme. It’s going to be a fun time, but that’s what the weekend’s about.
I feel like personally, I’ve been a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society for over 20 years now, and attending a lot of the continuing education back when we had live seminars in O’Fallon, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri, and Springfield, Illinois, and every year, of course, we’re in Chicago, and I attend quite regularly. But I see the attendance slowly dwindling, even though we have more members in our society; we have more attendance because a lot of it’s virtual. We don’t have the live attendance we’ve had in years past.
This celebration is a good opportunity to network, to get to meet some of your fellow chiropractors, because that’s really where a lot of our successes come in. You know, when you get to share your ideas and stories, and get to meet others that are in the trenches along with you every day, and then you exchange contact information, and suddenly you develop lifelong friends. I know I’ve got friends from all across the state that I’ve met through attending live seminars.
While this is not really a seminar, it’s a celebration. That’s what we want you guys to do. We want you to take advantage of that weekend to get away, rejuvenate, take your staff, take your family. If you just want to get away on your own, I mean this venue is phenomenal. Personally, I’ve got a lot to celebrate this year. We all get to celebrate 250 years of our wonderful nation. We get to celebrate 100 years of the ICS. I’m celebrating 25 years of marriage with my wife. Celebrating 25 years as a chiropractor, graduating in April of 2001. So 25 years with my classmates. 20 years as a chiropractor who’s owned his own practice. We’ve been open for 20 years now, so there’s a lot for me to celebrate personally. I’m grateful. I’m thankful. I’m appreciative of what the ICS has given me. I just want to celebrate that with each and every one of you. So I encourage you to come up that weekend. Register online. I know you’ve been getting mailers in the mail, postcards, emails. The opportunity’s there. Just take the time to sign up and attend that weekend.
