Obituary: Dr. Tommy “TK” Keith Gossett

Dr. T.K. Gossett, D.C., formerly of Champaign, passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 71 due to an unexpected health issue.

T.K. was a devoted Christian, Family Man, and Physician.

Known to his family, as Tommy Keith, T.K. was deeply grateful to his parents, Leo Gossett, Jr. and Sue (Eldridge) Gossett Curry, for dedicating him to the Lord and raising him in the Christian faith, which remained a guiding force throughout his life. He was raised along with his sister, Patricia Chafian (Irvin), and many extended family members who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Gossett, Jr., and his stepfather, Patrick Curry.

A proud graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, T.K. dedicated more than 40 years to serving patients throughout Central Illinois, including the Amish settlement around Arthur, Illinois.

He was a committed and compassionate chiropractor who devoted his life to helping others – especially those facing chronic and complex conditions. For T.K., his work was not simply a profession, but a calling. He was known for his persistence, his conviction, and his willingness to help when others could not, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many. But most of all, he loved his patients, and was forever grateful for the trust they placed in him.

In 2004, T.K. married Jami, and together they spent nearly 22 years working side by side in their shared mission of bringing help and healing to others. Alongside their work, they built a life centered on faith and family, raising their children – Sabrina, Gabriella, and James – who remain at home. He also had a special love for Cinders, the family’s black lab.

T.K. was especially loved by the Graddy family, whom he gained through his marriage to Jami, including James and Sue Graddy, Cindy and Rick Rogers, Tim and Jane Graddy and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

T.K.’s children Allison, Ashley, Timothy, Alexandra, Amanda, and Taylor were always close to his heart, and he cherished the time and memories he shared with each of them.

T.K. will be remembered for his dedication to Christ, his family, and his patients. His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched over the course of his long career.
