OBITUARIES: Frederick Schuster, DC

Dr. Frederick A. Schuster IV, born October 21st, 1957 in Miami, Florida to Frederick A Schuster III and Lorraine. Fred passed away November 3rd, 2021 in Barrington with family and close friends by his side, after a 4-year battle with prostate cancer. Fred was a kind-hearted man who devoted his time to his family, helping friends and caring for those through his chiropractic practice – Total Athleticare. He graduated from Elk Grove High school in 1975. Fred was a dedicated paramedic/fireman for many years with Paramedic Services of Illinois prior to becoming a Chiropractor in Schaumburg IL for 25 years. Fred Received his doctorate in 1996 from National University of Health Sciences and received his bachelor’s degree from Northern IL University. Fred cherished his annual: golf trips, Schuster Family Picnic, Cubs games, and visiting the Rowley Creek Lavender Farm with his daughters. He loved spending time outdoors and participated in several sporting events such as Hustle up the Hancock, The Polar Bear Plunge, and many triathlons over the course of his life. Fred was a faithful member of Willow Creek Community Church, volunteering on Sundays to care for infants in the Promiseland program with his daughter Katharine. Fred is survived by his mother Lorraine Schuster; his siblings, Kathleen Strand, Mike Schuster, and Kevin Schuster; and his four children Frederick A Schuster V, Daisy K Schuster, Elizabeth B Schuster, and Katharine T Schuster.
