Hey, Illinois chiropractors, I have a question for you- unfortunately, not a quick question. What does the ICS have in common with these 35 things? The roaring 20s, Gandhi, the Great Depression, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the nuclear bomb, the greatest generation, the Holocaust, Mother Teresa, Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, the Korean War, the invention of rock and roll, JFK and RFK, the groovy 60s, the moon landing, Vietnam, Watergate, disco, the Cold War, the Berlin Wall, the awesome 80s, Nelson Mandela, the Super Bowl, shuffle, metal bands, rap, grunge, y2k, 9/11, computers, www, emails, mobile phones, texting and now AI. The ICS has been around for all of these milestones. The ICS has been your voice, your advocate, and your resource for practicing chiropractors for 100 years, back when chiropractors were being put in jail, back when Wilk took on the AMA, back when DCs joined the Medical Practice Act of 1987, giving us freedoms that only other states dream of.
Well, hey, it’s time to celebrate in style; the ICS is hosting a 100-year centennial celebration on August 1. Please come celebrate this magnificent achievement of service and longevity. The Big Event is the gala on August 1, but there’s a golf outing the day before, July 31. I hope you’ll consider putting together a table of eight for the gala. My partners and I have reserved our table. We would love to see you there. Obviously, all this information is on the ICS website, and we hope to see a great crowd of chiropractors come together to celebrate this magnificent milestone. Have a great day.
