Nominations:
As has been announced through email an on the ICS website, nominations for officers and directors is open until July 15, 2010. According to the ICS Constitution you may nominate by petition candidates for any of the seats up for election. To do so, file an original document (you may use a printed version of the petition found here titled "Nominating Petition" with 22 signatures of members eligible to vote.
This Petition must be in hard copy and must:
A. Be an original document containing at least 22 signatures of eligible members (doctors like yourself who received this notice); NO FAX or other facsimile petitions are acceptable;
B. Be returned through the U.S. Postal Service;
C. Be filed not earlier than June 1 nor later than July 15, 2010.
Note: Eligible members are "General Members" in good standing (with dues paid current to that date; i.e., annuals in full and quarterly and semiannual paid 50%).
Elections:
The 2010 Illinois Chiropractic Society elections will take place electronically. Ballots will be distributed via email to all eligible members (see note above) on or around August 16, 2010. If you are not receiving ICS email updates currently, please contact the ICS office to add your email to our mailing list. You may add your email by sending the email address with your name to ics@ilchiro.org, by calling (800) 424-0121, or by updating your profile at www.ilchiro.org.
If you are unable to participate in the electronic election process and upon your request, a paper ballot can be made mailed to your address on file.
Once eligible members receive their ballots, they must be submitted online no later than September 15, 2010 (postmarked by the same date for those casting paper ballots).
